i have a silver/lime dc04 that needs a new motor,the one you show ametek is the same as mine, will any other dc04 motor fit?
my dyson was bought new and the motor is steel round the circular base, black plastic housing and sticky out carbon brush holders with a green external thermal cut out. i,v seen many other dc04 motors for sale but they are slightly different. could i fit one of those as a replacement ?

The 'Genuine' Dyson part is Stock Number: ES966643 or this alternative should be suitable.
Ametek Motor Assembly Stock Number: ES100489
