what is the function of this part. Does it have any influence on the control of the temperature in the oven.
Oven control knob working but does not regulate the temperature evenly from 0 - 9. What could be wrong and what part will be required.

A faulty device will hold the flame to the low start level. Check the burner is clean and the door seal is in good condition. If this does not resolve the problem contact a Gas Safe company like Repaircare for a repair.
