      Should I buy a sensor pin if my tumble dryer is stopping and starting?

      My tumble dryer stops and starts continually and isn't drying the washing, it has always had a faulty sensor so I wondering if a sensor pin is the thing i need or something else - my model is hoover nextra sensor dryer hnv270
