Before replacing see our diagnosis video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145 /how-to-diagnose-problems-with-your-oven
The back left hob element will only stay full on when turned to lower heat. Thermostat problem? Is a spare available?

From our information this is a ceramic topped cooker and it is normal on these tops not to allow the elements to remain on full as this could damage the glass especially if it is one of the larger rings. compare with other rings of the same size on the cooker. if there is a difference replace the regulator for that ring.
My smeg cooker is model SUK61MFX5

Hi Alan in Nott'm, fitting the 'stat will be broadly similar to what's shown in this video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/cookers-and-hobs/a/1/1331/how-to-replace-a-thermostat-on-an-electric-ov.html - it'll involve going through a similar process.
when i switch the oven on & rotate the thermostat i can hear it clicking but it is on full power it will not switch off when i turn the thermostat down.the model is se375mfx5
