Bulbs blew but fan working, checked fuse and replaced bulbs. Still no joy with bulbs. Could it be switch box assembly?

We do not have any information but it is likely to be easier if you first disconnect and remove the hood from the wall.

There may well be damage to the switchbank caused by a shorting bulb. Dismantle to examine for 'witness' marks (the blackening caused by electricity burning a component) and replace if required.
Thank you for your prompt reply. How do I gain access to the switch to enable me to replace it? From looking at the cooker hood it does not look straightforward 1 Answer

We do not currently have a video on this type of repair but the switch box is clipped in so you need to gain access through the control panel to the switch.
When I turn on the light switch on my Curry's Essential Cooker Hood (C60SHDX10) the lights flicker then after several attempts of switching the lights off and back on they will eventually light up. Does this indicate a faulty switch? 1 Answer

It is likely to be the switch but also ensure you have checked the lamp socket in case it is not connecting correctly.
