How to Fit Heavy Duty Black & Decker Strimmer Line

If the standard strength of line is no longer doing the job it needs to do, you can replace the standard line with a more heavy duty line.

Unlike your standard strimming line the heavy duty line does not come with the spool. Below we will talk you through the replacement process for a black and decker heavy duty cutting line.

This video shows an example on how to remove or replace the part on a typical machine, some models may be different but the procedure should be similar

What You Will Need:

Heavy Duty Strimming Line

Step 1 - Safety Advice

Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.

Step 2 - Feeding the Line

Unlike the a standard spool and line where you need to feed a specific amount of line, the heavy duty is more like a gardenvac shredding line. The single strand of line can be fed through the eyelets on the spool cover and once secure, you’re done.

The heavy duty line provides better performance for those times when you need to strim stinging nettles and other denser weeds. If you haven't and want to try it to rid your garden of those overcrowding weeds you can get some heavy duty line from our extensive range of garden strimmer spares.
