How to Fix Hoover Tumble Dryer Error Code E14

When your tumble dryer displays an error code, it's important to know what that code means so you can get to work on fixing the problem. In this guide, we will be looking at the E14 error code on a Hoover tumble dryer, including explaining what it means and how to repair the issue at hand. So, read on to learn how to fix Hoover tumble dryer error code 14 and get your appliance back in working order!

What does error code E14 mean on a Hoover tumble dryer?

The Hoover tumble dryer E14 error code indicates that there is a problem with the rear NTC temperature sensor. This sensor serves to check and monitor the airflow and moisture inside your Hoover condenser dryer. When the sensor is not sensing any moisture inside, the LCD display screen will likely show the E14 error code. When this happens, you will need to replace the sensor to get your appliance up and running again, a process we will walk you through step-by-step in this guide.

What you will need

To replace your tumble dryer's rear NTC sensor, you will need the following tools:

As you will be removing a lot of screws during this replacement, we also recommend having a container at hand to store and separate all of the screws so you don't lose any or get them mixed up. A container with multiple compartments such as an ice tray should do the trick.

Finding your model number

To make sure you purchase the correct rear NTC temperature sensor for your particular tumble dryer, you will need to know your tumble dryer's model number. Not sure what this is or how to find it? Don't worry. Our model number finder page is here to help.
