Most oven doors have a rubber door seal that sits around the inside of the cabinet, however the oven in this video features a fabric woven type door seal that actually sits around the inner door glass. Over time seals can become worn or damaged, leading them to perish.
If the seal is suffering from being worn or damaged, it will not be able to perform its intended duty towards your oven. If you notice that the heat is escaping from your oven, this may be a sign that the seal is faulty and would need to be replaced.

What You Will Need:
Step 1 - Safety Advice
Safety First! Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before beginning any repair.
Step 2 - Remove The Door
Ok then here we go, to remove the door you need to lift up the little latch on each of the hinges, making sure it's fully locked in the upright position - you will then be able to easily lift the door out. You then need to separate the inner and outer sections of the door, by removing the screws at the top of the door and the screws at the bottom of the door.
Please Note: In most oven doors, you'll find one or two screws that hold the hinge in place. You don't want to remove these.
Step 3 - Remove The Old Door Seal
With the inner and outer door separated, you will now be able to view the elusive door seal! You can now proceed to lift the seal away.
Step 4 - Fit The New Door Seal
Now, it's positioned on a wire so it's a little bit awkward to put on - but you need to get the seal over the edges of the door panel- you can then put this part of the door back on top and screw it back together again.
Step 5 - Fit The Door On The Oven
Last part of the process now, with all the hard work done you just need to put the two halves of the door back together - followed by then putting the door back on the oven (Don't forget to put the latches back down into the closed position though)
