How To Replace The Brushroll on a Sebo X1 Vacuum Cleaner

A fully operating brushroll on a vacuum cleaner is very important as a faulty brushroll will not rotate or work effectively and end up heating the motor for nothing. It’s the part of your vacuum that comes into contact with the floor the most and ends of taking a bit of abuse and can therefore need replacing more frequently.

Repairing the brushroll on a Sebo X1 is a doddle, but if you’re still unsure follow our simple step by step guide and you’ll soon have your vacuum cleaning your home at its optimum best again.

This video shows an example on how to remove or replace the part on a typical machine, some models may be different but the procedure should be similar.

  What You Will Need:

  Step 1 - Safety Advice

Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.

Step 2 - Removing Faulty Brushroll

Now this couldn’t be any easier...simply click on the brushbar release button, tilt the vacuum on its back, pull the release catch off and the brushroll off.

Step 3 - Adding New Brushroll and Release Catch

Putting the new one in couldn’t be simpler... First we need to make sure we have it the right way round, and then to push it in and connect it up to the spindle. It will only go one way so twist until it’s gone in.

Replacing the release catch isn’t essential, however over time it can also get damaged. Now it’s just a matter of connecting the hole up to the spindle and clipping it into place, easy as that.

Job done! How easy was that? We hope this simple step by step guide has proven to you how simple it is to replace the brushroll on your Sebo X1 vacuum cleaner.
