Hotpoint Dishwasher FDL Range Error Code F02

We are sure you will agree that your dishwasher makes life a little easier for you at home, especially when you’re cooking a large family meal - helping to solve the question of “Who’s doing the washing up tonight?”

If upon using your dishwasher, you’re greeted with an error code F02 (the second light from the left) flashing on the control panel, don’t panic about it - as we’ve got the answers for you here.

Following this guide should help you identify the fault and get the water flowing into your dishwasher once again.

Solenoid Inlet Valve

A possible cause which could lead to your dishwasher not filling at all may be a faulty inlet valve (also known as a fill valve). If you suspect that your valve is no longer operating at its optimal performance, you can see our helpful steps below to assist you in some checks that you can do - so you can hopefully get your dishwasher working like new once again.

Safety First! Please ensure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before starting any repair.

  • Check the solenoid valve flow meter for any signs of damage.
  • Remove the fill hose.
  • Carefully remove the small filter from the inside of the valve or the hose seal filter if fitted and inspect for blockages. If the filter is clear, the solenoid valve is likely to need replacing. Prior to replacing check the water valve for faults using a multimeter.

To assist you with this check, you can see our useful video on How To Use A Multimeter

If you do need to replace the inlet valve, you are certainly at the right place. Luckily you can view our full range of replacement valves on the eSpares website.
