Porthole Double Glazed?
The porthole in the ZWD1680W seems to be double glazed - a inner glass door that is shaped to extend into the drum, and an outer plastic (I think) cover that protects the glass from the outside. On my machine the outer protector (door shield?) has been cracked - so is this that part? And if I'm replacing the glass door and/or the plastic door shield, do/should I also replace seals?

This is the outer cover for your door and does not require any seals during replacement.
