Hi the fridge gives the ice supply water but not the drinks dispenser would this be the part I would change to rectify the problem ?

The problem is more likely to be the reservoir inside the fridge that cools the water will have frozen. In Samsung's this is usually due to excess ice at the bottom of the fridge. In LG's this can be a heater in the freezer door that is the problem.
