      I took out the silver card on the right in my new Panasonic microwave. Should I have done this or not as the top righthand side gets hot.

        If you removed the wave guide cover and food splashes or crumbs have got into the wave guide then these may burn and carbonise causing more burning. If this has hapened your microwave may be unrepairable.
