How do I dismantle the door to refit a new door hook

There does not seem to be any screws or fixture which can be undone to get access to the broken door hook

  • Switch off the mains and pull out the plug. You then need to tease the plastic surround from its locaters situated on the inside door panel. I used a broad blade i.e butter knife to run along the joint on all sides of the leading edge. You will feel the inserts (there were 3) on each side. Be delicate and gently ease the first one out and once this is free the rest dislodge easier. I started at the top left hand corner and worked down the hook assembly side, once these were free I did the top and bottem. I kept the righthand side intact, I was then able to open the frame and take out the existing hook by disengaging the holding spring. I then replaced the hook and snapped the frame back into place.
