My whirlpool drier is failing to heat up i have been told it could be the heating element or thermostat ? my model is a AWZ2303
Answer this Question (1 Answer)
- If the drum rotates and the fan blows air when the dryer is switched on, then it's the heater element. The unit includes the thermostats, so it is an easy swap. You can get instructions by Googling - there are a few sites that tell you what to do, but basically, you unplug it and take off the back, undo the bolts and slide it out. My only tip would be to leave all the wires in place until you have the replacement ready to go in as they all look alike and need to go back on the right connectors.
