ES490002
Hotpoint tumble dryer VTD20P. I have replaced element & thermostat housing, in one whole piece as supplied. Tumble dryer still cold. I saw this part ES490002, where does it fit please ? Or what else can be going a miss. Is there a primary thermostat before the element ?

I have worked on many of these driers and only ever found the thermostats on top of the heater. If these thermostats check ok with a meter (should measure short circuit), the next part to replace would be the timer as this turns the heat off when less than ten minutes is on the timer.
