How do I separate the nozzle from the collar?

nozzle and collar seem to be a single moulding. How much force can I use to separate them? Would it help to make it more brittle by freezing?

Hi Kitchenslave, I wouldn't recommend freezing the nozzle. If you just 'shimmy' it for a while it should eventually separate.
