• yes it should do. when an element goes it melts together and it could cause a short circuit other causes could be loose wiring on element By Anonymous - essex - 24 February 2010
• It is possible that the main element has been damaged and it is causing an electrical short. Sometime the circular rigns fuse together and that may cause the short. By sigmosh - London - 23 February 2010
