How do I get the old locking assembly out of my Indesit D63?

I've tried and tried to disconnect the old locking mechanism disconnected from the electric wires, and can't see how to do it! It looks easy on the Hotpoint machine in the video. What am I missing??

Hi mrsfixit, if the wires seem hard to remove, try giving them a good wiggle, or alternatively use a pliers (but be careful!). The wiring should come loose with a little bit of elbow grease.
