Please can you help me. It is time to replace my fat filter and the filter clearly states "inside" on the chequered side. So I assume that it is the white side of the filter that is visible through the cooker hood and when the filter is exhausted the dye is drawn through and can be seen as an indicator. May seem a silly question but I want to get it the right way round!

Hi there, it is indeed the all white side of the filter that faces outwards and is visible when you look at the cooker hood.
