Hotpoint CTD00 Thermostat Kit. Which is which?
Hi, I've just purchased ES658577 to replace the ones in my Hotpoint CTD00 which had some non original stats fitted a while back, needless to say they have failed and need replacing. Neither of the stats fitted have an identifying white spot on them and they appear different from the proper article (the failed ones appeared to be a sealed can with crimped edges)Can you tell me if the white spot stat attaches to blue or orange cable. Thanks. Ben.

- Ben, doesn't matter which way round they go as the stat is just a switch consisting of a bymetal strip. Normal closed contact when cold as the heat builds up the bymetal strip starts to bend according to it's designed rate until it opens the circuit thus switching the load off the dryer.Hope this helps.
