Creda condenser Tumble Dryer TCR2

My dryer is showing a warning sign that the water container needs to be emptied, even though there is no water in the container. Also it is no longer heating up. Are they related, as I do not want to purchase items to repair if the heating issue is due in some way to the warning sign.

There is a reservoir at the back that condensation drains into before being pumped into the container. When full a float will rise shutting off power to the heater and preventing flooding. Your fault is likely to be either the pump impeller (like a rubber band and prone to split) or a stuck float switch.
