I strongly beleive that this is the correct fitting that i need but the broken bit is jamed in the other side and was wondering how i go about removing this as a screwdriver pushing it in will not budge it

Remove the lock from the front panel and you can turn the lock cam from the back to the unlock position and release the broken part while leaving the lock in the open position.
