My Whirlpool AWM5145/4 washing machine stops part way through the cycle. The timer / control knob does not move past a certain point and I have to manually move it and eventhen it does not do the rinse cycle. Will a new control / timer knob cure this?
The part number on espares is ES705307. Alternatively there is a time / control knob wing nut.

Hi Feav1223, before replacing the control knob, I'd check the washing machine for blockages, foreign objects or other abnormalities. Often something like a sock in the drain pump can cause washing machines to not move through the cycle automatically.
