If this part is faulty it can stop power going to the machine, test it with a multimeter to determine if it has failed before suspecting anything else.
just had the engineer here to do the modification, he said that the terminal block (just inside the mains cable inlet) was cracked and would need replacement. Is this part the one he is talking about
