At the moment the lights won't work I have tried replacing the bulbs & the switch neither did the trick, it either needs a new control panel or new bulb holders but I cannot see how to disconnect the wires connected to the bulb holders ?

It is unlikely that the wiring needs to be replaced, check the wiring with a multimeter to determine if it has failed.

Hi I need to send you a photo to show you the type of switch assembly and circuitboard that has blown on our smeg cooker hood. You might be able to help with locating the replacement part or advise us as to where we might get it from. Thank you George

I can see from the pic that it looks as if it doesn't have the actual sliders and buttons - I bought them from you separately a few weeks ago. But I am having trouble securely bedding the actual light switch and motor slider switch (the darkish red bits that actually work the electric parts) into the control panel and the slider/button.

This is only the case moulding but will have any extrusions to locate cables or switches that the original has.

This is just the control panel cover and when supplied does not have any electrical parts attached.

Answer this question

Was happy to see this part available online as the housings for our switches have come loose and broken. But we are unable to open up the old unit as the screws (that go into the plastic lugs at the back) appear non-standard. We can't find an alan key that fits the screwheads. Does this control panel come with the required alan key?
