    You would need to test the switch to determine if it has failed, use a multimeter to test the contacts.

    If the connectors are not tight they can cause burning and damage the new switch. If burnt it will need to be replaced and the connectors either tightened or replaced.

Just purchased the selector switch switch. Is there a diagram on lifting the base plate with the gas hobs to reach the selector switch below? Do I unscrew each gas pot as well as the two side screws and the rear ones?
