Washing Machine Door Safety Interlock

The door safety interlock sits behind the door catch in the washing machine cabinet.

The door interlock is an electronic device that provides a time delay of approximately 2 minutes, once the wash/dry cycle has been completed the washing machine door can be opened.

If your washing machine will not start, yet the relevant lights appear to be lit on the facia panel, it could be because the door interlock has failed. If the door closes, and the wash/dry cycle is selected but still no joy - it may well be time for a new interlock.
