Washing Machine Door Interlock
If your washing machine's door does not stay securely closed - if it feels loose or swings open from a closed position, there is likely to be a problem with the locking system.
A faulty interlock could mean that your washing machines door opens during use, causing the water to leak into your kitchen, causing water and scale damage, and failing to clean your clothes. Use this genuine door interlock to help prevent accidents or drops in performance from your washing machine.

Check the machine has not accidentally been set to child lock. This usually involves holding one or two buttons for 3 to 5 seconds to lock or unlock the machine.
The lock seems ok but it's the door release mechanism that's broken. The You Tube video shows the man fit the door release mechanism too so just checking that that part is also included.

This is the lock only. If your problem is with the handle and catch then we have videos showing how to replace them and can supply that part as well. Unfortunately we cannot identify these without your full model number information.
As the old plug on the loom has melted when the switch has went faulty

Depending on model number the loom to the door lock may not be available. However if you carefuly cut off the burnt area of the cables and replace the spade connectors and by a crimp tool to ensure they are fitted tightly then it is normally possible to repair this damage. Top Tip: Practice with the crimp tool on a piece of scrap wire before replacing the switch connectors.
