Hi, here is a link to a short video on our Advice Centre page showing how to replace the energy regulator on an electric cooker. The model may not be the same, however the process should be fairly similar. http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/1428

It could be either, usually with ceramic cooker elements it is possible to examine and visually see a break on an element.

eSpares sells a wide range of products to both consumers & trade customers. Unfortunately, due to the nature of your enquiry, we cannot advise on repairs of this nature. We recommend that only people registered with the Gas Safe Register make this type of repair. Maybe a good option for you would be to use a repair company like "Repaircare" who offer a fixed price option.

If the clock has 'failed' it will disable the oven as it defaults to 'automatic' until the clock is set. Check the electric supply to the cooker and check if there is an over temperature cut out near the top of the oven at the back and this has not cut out.
