My evaporator has frozen up and the fan motor has the correct resistance of 1.7K ohms
- I can now answer my own question. The value of a new sensor is 5.7K

It is likely that you have ice build up behind the lower fridge cover. There is a modification kit that moves the sensor and fits covers to prevent this re occurring. Defrost completely by switching off and opening the door for 48 hours and then fitting kit Stock Number: ES1406833.
