This fan circulates airflow around the freezer section and is unlikely to cause the fridge to freeze, check the heater and sensors inside the fridge.
I have just fitted the Samsung RSH1NBRS fridge/freezer mod kit, to correct the icing issue, great thanks, but the fan appears not to be working. I want to check the supply at the socket /plug in the back of the fridge, I assume I will have to operate the door switch mechanism. or, can you tell me the resistance value of the motor. Thanks for your assistance. M Brown

We do not have details of the motors voltage. Check it spins freely and has 'resistance' before suspecting it is faulty.
Does it need expert electrical knowledge? Or can I just attach plugs and slot it in?

The cover above may have to be removed (usually held in place with two screws behind a clip in cover) then un clipped. Then remove the four fixing screws and unclip the cover and unplug the connector.
We have had our fridge freezer about 10 years and Samsung did fit a modified evaporator panel under warranty a few years ago. It is starting to freeze up again and I'm wondering if it's the sensor in the front panel that has failed. Any advice would be appreciated so that I can purchase the correct part.

Some Samsung fridge freezers can suffer from ice build-up and may have a modification kit to prevent this occurring Stock Number: ES1406833. Fully defrost before removing the cover. Fit the brackets onto the back of the upper mounting screws, replace and move the sensor to the far left of the pipework and reset codes as per the instructions. Check and replace the defrost heater if required.
