Washing Machine Door Interlock Switch

Door locks need to be checked on a regular basis to ensure they work correctly, if the door is not locked correctly during the wash cycle, it could lead to water leaks from the machine.

The door interlock is an electronic device that provides a time delay of approximately 2 minutes, once the wash/dry cycle has been completed the washing machine door can be opened.

If your washing machine will not start, yet the relevant lights appear to be lit on the facia panel, it could be because the door interlock has failed. If the door closes, and the wash/dry cycle is selected but still no joy - it may well be time for a new interlock.

With help from eSpares, you can soon be back to a safe and fully working washing machine again, so the pile of laundry does not start to stack up for you!

1 Question and 1 Answer

before the door seal was replaced now the EO1 comes up and the child lock comes on its not pumping any water in. Is it the wiring plug not inserted properly or any other reason I can try. Thank you Ernest Kendall

E01 we believe is a door lock error. If you have disconnected the lock when replacing the seal then check it is fully inserted the correct way (should not be able to be reversed).
