The burner ring on your hob funnels the gas from the burner tube to the top of the burner head - where it then comes in contact with the spark generator in order to light up the burner.

A cleaning lady cleaned our cooker top (with soap & water), now two of the rings will not ignite. Help!

Check the ignition leads and these two electrodes are clean and dry. If they still do not work swap the electrodes over with working rings as the electrodes may require replacing.
