Anti-Slug Tape

For a discreet, friendly, no mess solution to slugs and snails in the garden, eSpares have the perfect product for you.

The Pest Stop anti-slug barrier tape is a non-toxic, adhesive copper tape that can be placed anywhere that needs protecting to keep slugs and snails out of certain areas of your garden. In particular, it is ideal for planted pots, tubs and pathways. It is poison free and safe to use around other wildlife and pets.

The copper creates a small electrical charge on contact with a slug or snail, repelling them away from paths or vegetation. The anti-slug tape consists of 4 metres of copper, which can be cut to length and placed anywhere that needs protecting.

Specification:

  • 4m of protection - just cut to length
  • Self adhesive tape
  • No mess
  • Easy to use
  • Safe to use around other wildlife and pets
  • Used to form a protective ring

Ensure that no leaves or stems can be reached from the ground, wall or adjacent plant that would enable slugs and snails to gain access to the protected zone.

Please Note: Copper may discolour over time, but this will not affect the performance of the product.

We are surrounded by farmland and in the evening a whole world of slugs climb up onto our patio from the lawn and then onto our furniture. We can kill them with other products but more always come! If this would stick to the outer edge of our terraced patio I would imagine it will keep them on the lawn!

I'm desperate to keep slugs away from my kitchen and areas where my dog might pick them up.

  • I have used a very similar product over many years and it remains effective except for where it has had actual physical wear and tear - it did not break down or corrode significantly through action of sun, rain, ice etc. In fact, the tape and even the adhesive has outlived the wooden planter I used it on. (I don't know if this one has the same adhesive, though worst case if it failed you could still stick it back on!) By Chris C - Blewbury, Oxon - 17 August 2016

This is a thin copper tape and will remain effective until the copper corrodes sufficiently to disintegrate after a significant time of exposure.

We believe this product will not be suitable as it is intended for slugs only. Mice may be able to avoid contact with the strip and pass.
