High Quality Replacement Washing Machine Door Interlock

The door interlock is an electronic device that is designed to give a time delay of approximately 2 minutes before the door of a washing machine can be opened once the wash/drying cycle has competed. Door locks should be checked regularly to ensure that they are working correctly. During the cycle the door should remain locked; as it is can be extremely dangerous if this is not the case.

The common fault when a door interlock fails is that the washing machine will not start. There will be power to the washing machine, which can sometimes be assertained by the light (if present) being lit up on the front facia panel. However, when the door is closed and the wash/drying cycle is selected and started the machine will appear 'dead'.

Ask a Question

1 Question and 1 Answer

my machine stops after the wash is finished with all lights flashing, the code F06 and a continuous clicking noise from the door lock which will only open using the emergency pull. Is the door lock likely to be the cause of this?

This is usually caused by a faulty door lock. Please inspect the door lock for any obstructions. For further information please see: www.espares.co.uk/advice/howto/how-to-replace-a-washing-machine-door-lock
