The motor I have removed has a connector on each side, the replacement has both on the same side. Which colour wire goes where? 2 Answers
- I found the same thing and tried the wires either way and it worked fine in either configuration and the fan always turned in the same direction regardless of the configuration.
- It shouldn't matter which way round the wires go.
why has my new fan motor which i fitted to my tricity bendix cooker need a push to start? it will not turn when the control nob is turned on. 2 Answers
- my old one had got some of the insulation lagging wrapped / burned round the spindle - which led to its failure. check the motor turns freely and has nothing jammed etc when you installed it

Hi, my guess is that the wires are not all connected properly - I'd double check what you've already done and see if you've made any errors. Of course you must remember to unplug your cooker first and let it stand for at least ten minutes so it drains of all residual power!
I have replaced the main fan motor on a Beko OIF22300X but the replacement fan was not identical to the original. I wasn't sure which way round the connections should go on the new motor. Can anyone confirm which direction the fan should rotate? 1 Answer

This is an AC motor and therefore can only rotate in one direction no matter which way you connect the power leads to it.

Unless the motor is running slow it is more likely to be the fan element rather than the fan.
I have a zanussi oven what should be the fan speed, as it seems to take longer to cook and I have changed the heating element? 1 Answer
