My fridge/freezer is clicking on and off every 2 or 3 seconds. I can hear the sound coming from just behind the front lights. The interior light is going on and off at the same time. Food in the freezer has been defrosting. Could a faulty PCB module be the problem? If so, how do I get to it? Hope you can help. Thanks.

  • Hi Frank. Turned out to be the PCB after all. I just swapped it with a new one and it's been fine ever since. By Ash - - 24 November 2014
  • Did you cure the problem as I'm currently experiencing exactly the same ? ...... You have to remove the door and then the top panel (with the lights & dial ) pops off, exposing the PCB. Would like to know how you got on before I risk a waste of money ! By frank - London - 23 November 2014

Some freezers will flash the light as a warning that the temperature is not correct. Switch off for one minute and restart. If the compressor starts and runs continuously but the temperature is not going down correctly it is more likely a refrigeration fault that will require an engineer.

Hi, this module doesn't include any temperature sensors - to find out whether one for your fridge or freezer is available you should search for your model number using the bar at the top.

Answer this question

i replaced the sensor on my HNMF3905AL80 a few months ago when the fridge kept freezing everything started woring for a bit not very well thou but good enough now the freezer wont freeze and where the radiator is where the sensor is at the back of the freezer compartment just under the fan is solid with ice will this cure it and give me a proper working fridge freezer again?
