Washing Machine Door Interlock
If your door won't open after a cycle, and the tub has complete drained, it may be due to a faulty interlock. The interlock sends and receives signals, letting the control panel know when it can start or stop a load and open the door. Make sure that your washer gets the job done and the door stays closed whenever you need it to be, with this genuine Hoover interlock.

This part ES487967 comes up as a fit for Hoover Optima washing machine. The electrical connector looks correct but the way it attaches to the machine looks different. The part on the machine clips into place using the material around the lock hole and two raised pegs instead of the screw holes this item has. Does it simply come with screws and fit that way? Thanks

Hi, can you tell me where to find the serial number on my Hoover H140 E washing machine, as the door interlock that i need only fits some serial numbers in the range, thanks 1 Answer
The washing machine washes but when it comes to any of the spin cycles it starts the initial spin and then just stops after the first 'turn-over' with water in the drum. The door remains locked as it should. I know the machine won't spin unless the door is locked and thought perhaps the interlock switch is faulty.
- The problem with my door interlock started in this way (Hoover WDM 120 01) and then the machine would not start at all. The door lock light did not illuminate but the machine had power. Replacing the interlock solved this.

Hi Pete, check out this video for help: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1295/how-to-fix-a-broken-washing-machine-door-lock.html. The washing machine in the video is a different model to yours, but the process for you will be very similar to what's shown in the video.
