To access the door springs you will have to take the appliance side panels off. We think this repair is going to be similar to the repair shown in the video now linked from the part.
The dishwasher door has no support at present, and I am trying to avoid taking the machine out, before I have the necessary new parts! Do you have a diagram/exploded view or repair manual for this machine, that shows the spring positions?

Hi Fangio, most dishwashers have springs on each side of the door, but you'd have to give me your model number so I could check and be 100% sure.
I have received 2 door springs for my Hoover DT999 UK and find the right hand side one easy to fit but am unable to decipher how the left hand one fits and its relation to the hook and the door brake band. Can you please advise

Hi Slimso, I'm not sure why this would be. If you still can't fit the spring, we'd be happy to refund you the money. I'm not sure why the spring won't work though, as it matches the part diagrams Hoover have supplied us with. You have me stumped!
On my Candy A8001, the door spring 92483809 is correct for the side with the brake, but the other side has a heavier spring. Is there a different part for this? Thanks
