Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit

If your tumble dryer is no longer regulating heat properly, this could mean you need to replace your thermostat. The thermostat on a tumble dryer controls the heat output of your element, so if it’s faulty it can cause the dryer to over-heat, damaging your appliance and any clothes inside. Thanks to eSpares you can grab this thermostat kit and restore your dryer back to full working order.

Specification:

  • Includes: 120ºc & 113ºc Thermostats

This is a genuine spare part for select Creda, Crusader, Hotpoint and Parnall tumble dryers. Prior to ordering, don't forget to check the model fit list to ensure suitability.

Please note: this part is date code dependent, the date code is the first 2 digits of the serial number. Please check that your model and date code are listed under the list of appliances to ensure that this is the correct part for your tumble dryer.

in september 2013 I ordered, and replaced the thermostats on a creda 37754 tumble dryer. the dryer worked well until about two weeks ago when the same symptoms re- occured. i.e. a lot of cool air but no heat. It strange that the thermostats have failed in such short period of time and therefore I would like to know if there are diagnostics i should have carried out before fitting the new thermostats.

This is a very common problem experienced by customers with this type of dryer (until somebody explains why it happens). The safety cut out is mounted above the heater so if the motor failed heat would rise and cause it to trip preventing a fire. If you interrupt the dryer before it has finished its cool down cycle the heat from the element can cause this to fail. Always run the dryer to the end of the cycle or if you think it has dried enough then turn the machine onto the cool down phase (last ten minutes) to remove the heat and protect this cut out.
