Electrolux EOB 966. one of the screw fixings is missing and the other will not relocate into the roof of the oven...will two new screws fix it, or will i need to remove the oven and see if something that the screw should be screwing into is dislodged? 1 Answer

You may need to check what is the problem with the grill roof by removingthe oven.
AEG double oven. D4101-4 Dual grill element (top oven) - Unable to refit the 2 retaining screws for the grill element after cleaning. 1 Answer
Could be due to stripped threads/nut (if there is one) on other side falling away/oversized hole in casing. Is it possible to get larger dia thread screw? Other solution to help and to allow ease of removal and refitting for cleaning? Thanks

It may be the threads have stripped from the grill roof panel and no longer grip the screws fitted. Try either larger self tapping screws from a car spares shop or use a suitable nut and screw to fix the bracket (use a small screwdriver or drill bit to pierce the insulation from below to access the screw and fit the nut before refitting the insulation over it).
AEG Competence D2100-4 Is there a fixing above the roof of the top oven to screw into, or should the screw just self tap into the roof metal?

Chris at eSpares says...
Compare with the other fixing, we don't think there is any other part to this fixing other than the cavity roof which may have stripped the threads. If this is the case if you take the top of the cabinet and pass a small screwdriver through the insulation and carefully part the insulation you should be able to repair this with a small screw and bolt purchased from a DIY store.
My Zanussi grill has come lose as there is corrosion on the surface of where the Grill element Fixing Shaft should go 1 Answer
What do I need to do to repair this?

Hi there, if there's damage to the oven casing itself, it may be beyond repair - otherwise a new grill element will fix the problem.
