Moffatt MSF616X oven overheating when selecting the higher temperatures. The temperature knob seems OK... i.e. the thermostat clicks on and off. Is it the temperature regulator?

This cuts out if the oven temperature is excessive but does not regulate the temperature. the problem is likely to be the thermostat.

Answer this question

I have recently purchased an item from you stock No ES611754 an over temperature regulator, I would like to know what reading in Ohms I should get on my test meter as I get an open circuit on my new purchase the same as the one I assumed was the cause of my oven not working

There may be no reading when set to minimum but it should read short as soon as the temperature setting is increased from minimum and remain short until the set temperature is reached.
