Are fitting instructions included or do I need a factory manual?

By kiwimark - - 07 February 2009
  • Fitting instructions are not included however all you need to do the job is a pozi-drive scewdriver, a steel punch, a T40 Torx adaptor and accommanying rachet and a hammer shaft to lock the drum when removing the drive pulley. 1) Remove the back access panel, (6 screws) 2) Remove the drive belt, (no tools req'd) 3) Remove the drive pulley. 4) Remove x 8 spider Torx screws and lever spider off.. 5) Drive bearings out and refit in reverse order. The drum shaft will need to be measured as there are two different sizes that may have been fitted to your model.

The drum on your machine is not repairable as it is welded together and cannot be parted and re sealed after bearing replacement. It is likely to be cheaper to have a fixed price repair with Repaircare than replace the drum unit Stock Number: ES871622
