Washing Machine Drain Pump Assembly

The drain pump in your washing machine removes the waste water from the drum at the end of each wash cycle, making it a key component of the washing process. If your washing machine is overflowing whilst in use, you may have a damaged drain pump. Replace it today to give your mop a rest, and have your washing machine working like new again.

Hi. When I switch the machine on to start the wash cycle, my Candy Grand O GO1482 does not stop filling and at the same time it is leaking water all over the floor from underneath the machine! Is this a known/common fault? Do you think the drain pump could have failed or is there a fill/full water sensor somewhere that might need replacing (if so, do you have any in stock?) ? The machine has only been used a few times but will have to go if I can't fix it... Does anyone have any ideas please?

Disconnect from the electrics remove the back and pour a kettle of water in through the drawer. You then can see where the water is leaking out. If you find a hole in the drum this is likely to have been caused by a coin out of a pocket and would require a replacement drum.
