The knob for controlling the Circotherm oven temperature has come out completely and I am unable to put it back in the right position so that I can control the temperature. I cannot stop the fan going and turn off the oven. When I try using the conventional oven the light for the Circotherm comes on. I can’t tell whether the temperature has reached the required temperature. It is a Neff make, model number 195302882(00).

The main reason the knob usually fails to stay on is that the plastic shaft has broken and will need to be replaced.

If the old fan motor was not spinning corectlly it is likely the element has overheated and failed. you can check the elements resistance with a meter, this should read between 25 and 35 ohms typically.
