The knob on my Hotpoint rlfm151 fridge is recessed and I need to remove it as I’m replacing the thermostat (which I received from you today). Pliers are just sliding off it and easing it off isn’t working.

To remove the knob you would need a small flat blade screwdriver inserted where the knob connects to the housing to help you prise it off.
