Machine fails to start

It is not likely the legs would fall off so unless there is evidence that the legs were cut and there remains are still soldered to the board this is not likely to be the problem.

This is the control module as used on a number of Indesit washing machine models. This particular module is programmed by fitting a push fit eeprom ic into the socket at the top left of the picture. It is likely the eeprom can be gently and squarely prised out of the old board for fitting int the new board. You should avoid contact with the ic legs to prevent the chance of static damage to this IC.
my card looks like this but it doesnt have a chip on it.do they all have a chip on them? what does the chip do? many thanks
