The photo of the rear of the dispenser shows the door opening mechanism including solenoid to operate it. Is this included wth the part?

Unfortunately not, this is just the detergent dispenser. You will have to look for a solenoid seperately.
Model number DWI 612 is listed as OK but my model number is DWI 612C. I just want to double-check in case the "C" is important. Thanks.
