Washing Machine Drain Pump Fluff Filter

The filters perform a key aspect of the washing process in your washing machine, as they ensure that small objects do not reach the pump - and as a result helps ensure your clothes are cleaned to a consistent standard. Failure to clean or replace the filter may lead to loud vibrations, longer program times or drainage issues.

This replacement filter from eSpares could soon solve the issue you have, and get you back to a fully working washing machine again.

Genuine spare part for select Bosch, Neff, and Siemens washing machines.

Please check the suitable model fit list to ensure that this is the correct part for your appliance.

Hi there, this is the same as a 'drain pump cap', i.e. it sits in the drain pump.

  • The picture on the web site is not clear but the black screw cap comes attached to the filter body which slides into a groove and is thus held in place while the screw cap is free to turn. As you tighten the cap the rubber seal stops water leaking out. Mine had jammed completely and the plastic knobby bits broke when trying to force it. Being plastic I simply broke the cap bit by bit using a screwdriver and pliers and extracted the filter body. I then cleaned the thread and the new one fitted a treat. I have since had a different problem where the screw cap unscrewed OK, but the filter body would not pull out. The screw cap prevented me seeing what the problem was so I ordered another filter before attempting to get the jammed one out, but in the event a bit of banging and heaving managed to dislodge what turned out to be a hairclip which was preventing the filter from coming out. I cleaned and replaced the old one which is working OK so I have kept the new one for the next time I have a similar problem! By no1granddad - Farnborough, Hants - 28 April 2010

Unfortunately it won't and we don't appear to stock one of these for your appliance.

Hi Michele Unfortunately we do not stock fluff filters for the Bosch WVTI2840GB/04 washing machine, and this one is not compatible. However we will look to our suppliers and aim to stock one in the future. We hope your search for a filter was successful though!
